Droop Quota

Primary definition

A variant of quota used in proportional representation systems which use the Largest Remainder Method, defined as the total valid vote divided by the number of seats to be filled in the electoral district plus one. Also known as Hagenbach-Bischoff Quota. See Quota (a) . See also Hare Quota and Imperiali Quota .
