Definition

A bipartisan commission established by President Obama in March 2013. The PCEA’s mission was to identify best practices to promote efficient election administration and to make recommendations to improve the voting experience. In January 2014, the PCEA submitted its report calling for expansion of online voter registration, expansion of early voting, modernization of polling place management, and reformation of the certification process for voting technology, among other recommendations.
