A concept relating to software transparency in the use of extrinsic code. A or COTS THIRD- that does not "throw exceptions when exceptional conditions occur" PARTY CALLABLE UNIT and hence must be warpped in a callable unit that detects error conditions and throws exceptions. VVSG.
