Special Write In Absentee Ballot

Primary definition

A provided by about half of the states to citizens who will be unable to obtain or BALLOT complete a regular in time for an election. The special write-in absentee ABSENTEE BALLOT ballot is blank and can be obtained far in advance of the election, even before the official slate of candidates has been determined. It is generally for voters who are in remote or hostile areas, or who cannot count on normal mail delivery times.
