Definition

A class of VVPAT system in which no encrypted strings or symbols, such as barcodes or hash codes, are printed on the paper record for secu rity purposes, to preserve voter-verifiability. Unfortunately, such systems, particularly of the CUT-SHEET variety, may be susceptible to BALLOT STUFFING or BALLOT FORGERY. Cf. CRYPTO INDICIA.
