Definition
A ballot that is not to be counted for any of a number of specified reasons. An “official cast ballot discovered at the time the votes are counted which does not comply with the requirements for voting or is not an official ballo t. An invalid ballot is not to be counted for determining the number of cast ballots.” 25 C. F. R. §81.1(j). “A ballot is invalid and no votes on that ballot may be counted if it is found folded together with another ballot or it is marked so as to identify the voter.” Wash. Rev. Code §29A.60.040.
