“At each regular or special state, municipal or ward election the registrars of each town or voting district, as the case may be, shall appoint a suitable elector residing therein, for each ballot box, to be box-tender, and one or two others, as may be necessary, to be substitute box- tenders for each box, respectively.” Conn.
