Audio Tactile Interface

Primary definition

An interface to a voting system that does not require visual ability but instead uses the sense of hearing and the ability to touch. Similarly, VVSG. 2005 VVSG V.1, APPENDIX A. 2007 Abbreviated ATI. Under the VVSG, an ATI must provide the same functionality as the visual interface of a STATION. AN ATI must be able to provide a range of volumes VOTING controllable by the voter, offer intelligible audio and must support a variety of playing speeds. See also HEADSET.
